FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A Fresno man now has to walk six miles to work and back every day after someone stole his only means of transportation, his trike.

Lee Sawyer is autistic and can’t ride a regular bike, so he’s been traveling the streets of Fresno for years on that trike.

But someone stole it Sunday night when he went the Winco on Kings Canyon and Peach to pick up medicine for his fiance.

Sawyer has had the bike for nine years but can’t afford to replace it.

He is now hoping someone sees his story and will give it back.

He says that there will be no hard feelings about the theft, just as long as the trike is returned.

A new trike will costs $4000 to $5000k.

Supporters have already raised $2000 as of Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020.
