COALINGA, Calif. (KMJ) — There is a traffic alert for those headed to the Central Coast Tuesday morning.
A fuel spill is forcing the closure of Highway 41 at Highway 46 near Cholame.
The CHP says a tanker went down an embankment near that area and at least 1,000 gallons of fuel is leaking.
Officers closed it down at 7:30 a.m. to allow for clean-up by environmental workers.
The highway is expected to remain closed 6 to 8 hours.
