FRESNO,CA (KMJ) – Around 11 PM Wednesday officers responded to a call on E Tyler and N Fifth Street.
That’s where they found 17 year old Christyan Roberts and 18 year old Dezon Cheatham suffering from gunshot wounds.
Cheatham, found inside his car was pronounced dead on the scene.
Roberts was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Cheatham was just one month away from leaving for the US ARMY in February.
Roberts was a youth leader at his church.
As of now police have not released a motive for the shooting.
Police say Cheatham and Roberts have no gang ties and were not armed during the shooting.
No suspects have been arrested.
