MADERA,CA (KMJ)- A scary incident last night as one driver was allegedly being chased and harassed by another.
The driver called police around 2:15 Thursday morning from their Ford Mustang, shook up and fearing for their safety as they were being followed and intimidated by another driver in a pickup truck.
The vehicles were traveling southbound on SR-99 near avenue 12 in Madera.
The call to CHP got even more intense, as the driver started reportedly being shot at.
CHP officers intercepted the two vehicles in Fresno County on Olive Avenue.
The two were estimated to be driving around 90 miles an hour.
CHP pulled the suspected intimidating driver over, 31 year old Simon Garcia.
During the investigation, a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol was located along with shell casings, one of which fell from the drivers lap to the pavement as he exited the pick-up.
The suspect driver was also determined to have been driving under the influence of alcohol.
He was booked in the Fresno county on DUI and weapons charges.
