2 Tulare County Teens Charged With Murder of 16-year-old Boy

TULARE COUNTY, CA (KMJ) – The Tulare County DA’s Office says 19-year-old Vanessa Macias and 18-year-old Jesus Fernandez face life in prison.

The two teenagers are charged with murder for allegedly shooting and killing a 16-year-old.

Homicide detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office went out to the area of Howard and Washington in Earlimart around 10:22 PM Friday, and found the young man, Ignaccio Lemus, dead after being shot in the upper body.

The Sheriff’s Office says detectives learned Fernandez of Earlimart and Macias of Alpaugh are the people who shot Lemus.

Around 9:00 AM Saturday, the two were taken into custody during a traffic stop in the Earlimart area.

Both were charged with murder.
