(KMJ) – Early Friday morning, Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted Delano Police in locating a suspect in a drive-by shooting. Officers and Deputies confronted a man and woman around 2 a.m. at the Best Western in the Richgrove area, north of County Line Road.
There, an officer from Delano P.D. and a deputy from Tulare County fired at the suspects, hitting them both. The man died from his injuries and the woman was rushed into surgery at a Valley hospital.
At the request of Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux, the Porterville Police Department is now handling the investigation in this officer involved shooting.
