Arrest Made After Child Attacked at Fresno Birthday Party

(KMJ) – A six-year-old girl is rushed to Community Regional Medical Center Saturday evening, after Fresno police say a woman attacked her at a birthday party.

Investigators say that attack happened during a  party at a home near Brown and Glenn Avenues in central Fresno around 5:30 p.m.  There, 35-year old Crystal Parra allegedly slashed the child under the eye, possibly with a razor blade.  She was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Fresno Police adds the family is not cooperating, so detectives are still trying to figure out the relationship between the attacker and the little girl.  But the six-year old is expected to recover from her wounds.
