COO Elliott Balch Enters Fresno’s Mayoral Race

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Another candidate is entering the Fresno Mayoral race.

38 year-old Elliott Balch is the Chief Operations Officer of the Central Valley Community Foundation and was one of the supporters of the Measure P effort.

 

Balch joins a number of candidates including former Congressional candidate Andrew Janz.

 

 

Fresno City Councilman and former school board member Luis Chavez, who describes himself as an extreme moderate, is also running.

 

On Wednesday, Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer was joined by dozens of supporters at Manchester Center in Central Fresno to make official his intention to run for mayor.

Shortly after the announcement, Dyer appeared on KMJ’s Ray Appleton Show.

 

Current Mayor Lee Brand is not seeking a second term.
