FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — A burglary suspect is dead, shortly after getting arrested.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says 31-year-old Lorenzo Neal — not related to the former NFL player — was seen around a home on the 5400 block of East Balch Ave. at about 2:45 Thursday] afternoon.
A neighbor and retired officer listening to the police scanner took his dog, and successfully detained Neal, who attacked the dog.
The dog bit him, and Neal became unconscious, while receiving medical attention.
His death is now being handled as an in-custody death investigation.
