FRESNO (KMJ) — New uniforms, colors, and logos for the Fresno Grizzlies have been unveiled as part of the team’s 2019 rebranding.

The move is designed to make the most of its Central Valley connections. The team said the identity adjustment was for the Triple-A club to build on the “Farm Grown” and “Growlifornia” branding introduced in 2015, as well as create a separate identity for the Minor League Baseball team.

“People have really bought into this idea that we’re an independent part of the state,” explained the team’s Paul Braverman.

“We’re not the Bay, we’re not LA, we’re under the Growlifornia flag and people have really bought into that. This new look better reflects that.

“Our die hard fans are going to be even more die-hardier now.”

Braverman said that the original orange color scheme came following the affiliation with the San Francisco Giants. While the new red matches the current affiliate, the Washington Nationals, the link is described as limited.

“This is the permanent Grizzlies’ brand going forward. If we have a new affiliate without red in their scheme five years from now the uniforms aren’t changing.”

New merchandise is now available for purchase both at the Fresno Grizzlies Team Store and pre-orders online (click here).
