
FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A man is charged in the murder of an Edison High School graduate.
35-year-old Tristan Beaudette was camping in a tent at Malibu Creek State Park with his 2-year-old and 4-year-old daughters, when he was shot in the head and killed at 4:44 a.m. on June 22, 2018.

Beaudette was married to his high school sweetheart, Erica Wu, and worked as a scientist for a pharmaceutical company.
Prosecutors allege 42-year-old Anthony Rauda opened fire on campers and motorists in incidents dating back to November OF 2016, killing Beaudette and trying to kill 10 other people.
Rauda was arraigned Monday, January 7, 2019 and is facing one count of murder, 10 counts of attempted murder and five counts of burglary.

The parolee was already in jail for a probation violation, after being arrested October 10, 2018 with a rifle and ammo in a backpack.
He had already been serving a sentence of 180 days in jail for a string of burglaries in Calabasas and Malibu.
Rauda’s bail is set at 1.1 million dollars.
