New Report Shows Best California Cities for Job Opportunities

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — A new WalletHub report shows the best and worst cities in the Golden State, when it comes to finding a job.

The top five are San Ramon, Palo Alto, Danville, Los Gatos, and Santa Clara.

Meanwhile, Fresno comes in at 226 overall, out of 254 cities on the list.

Fresno ranks 217th when examining job opportunities, 104th for the monthly average starting salary, and 179th, when it comes to the unemployment rate for those with at least a bachelor’s degree.

However, Fresno ranks 68th for housing affordability, 64th when it comes to employment growth, and 19th, when considering the time spent working and commuting.

Several neighboring valley cities scored near the bottom, with the exception of Visalia, which has an overall ranking of 112.
