FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – What started as one person collecting a few blankets for Camp Fire victims has spiraled into a network of friends now on a mission to ‘give back.’
“All these people have gone back to work and they are doing their best but they are completely devastated.”
Valley resident Lesa Jennings know what it’s like to be without a home and her belongings right before Christmas, when her home flooded a few years back. Watching the Camp Fire ravage a community, she’s now on a mission.
“I tossed and turned in my sleep, wanting to help and trying to figure out a way to help, and I just happened to get a message from Tina who I’d been friends with since I was a little girl,” said Jennings. “She said you won’t believe this, I have families who I work with who have all lost their homes.”

On December 11th, Lesa (above) and her friends will Caravan to Chico, California with vehicles full of donations on what she calls “Mission 14” for Property Manager Tina Rosenquist and her community of 14 families.
“We all are just coming together as a wonderful Valley trying to help, you know, someone who is four hours away,” said Jennings.
Their generosity has spiraled donations as far as Kansas and Tennessee.
Jennings said no more clothes are needed. but they are gathering gift cards, and household items, blankets, new scholastic books, and items for school children.
