FRESNO, Ca (KMJ) – A man is behind bars after leading deputies on a chase in Central Fresno.
It started just after 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning by Fountain Way and Wilson.
Spokesperson Tony Botti from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said deputies spotted a suspicious SUV and witnessed the suspect, Justin Sullivan (below), get inside and drive away.

“Our deputies tried to pull him over, he refused, started driving very erratically, against traffic at some points, through road pylons, ran stop signs,” said Botti. “It just got a little too crazy so deputies canceled the pursuit and let him go.”
Botti said hours later, at around 6:30 a.m., deputies spotted the SUV again in the same neighborhood and the chase resumed.
Sullivan crashed the SUV into a fence by Wishon and Ramona and was arrested afterward.
“He’s facing a bunch of charges; auto theft – possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest, evading a peace officer, he also had some methamphetamine in his possession,” said Botti. “On top of that he’s a AB109 person.”
The 28-year-old was booked into the Fresno County Jail , where he is being held without bail.
Botti said the stolen vehicle was returned to its owner in Clovis.
