9 Year-Old Waterford Boy Killed After He Rides Into Intersection

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department says it was an accident.

9-year-old Johnny Davis, was riding south on Tim Bell Road, on Tuesday night.

He was approaching Yosemite Boulevard/Highway 132.

The Sheriff’s Department says the road is really steep, apparently as he was riding down he couldn’t stop.

The driver of the pickup had no chance to avoid crashing into the boy.

Johnny was taken to Memorial Medical Center for his injuries, but he died at the hospital.

We have a link to the Davis Family’s gofundme.com page set up to help them cover hospital and funeral expenses,

On July 24, 2018, Johnny Davis was headed to the river for some time with his dad. They were riding their bikes and Johnny’s bike took on too much speed. He was unable to stop at the crossing. A pickup driver hit him while he crossed the street. Johnny was taken home to be with the Lord in the presence of his earthly father, Adam. This GoFundMe account is set up to help the family through this extremely difficult time. These funds will cover hospital costs, funeral expenses, as well as give the family time to grieve together. All who know the Davis’ know the love that they have for life, each other, and for Jesus. We have comfort knowing that Johnny is in the arms of our Lord until the day the Davis family can be reunited. -GoFundMe
