FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The RV driver who led LA Police on chase into the Central Valley is caught.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s arrested Stephen Houk.
They announced by tweet Thursday that their Major Crimes Bureau arrested Houk on Thursday at 4:30 pm in Barstow.
Houk was found in a rail car and taken into custody without further incident.
The 46-year-old registered sex offender was on parole for a sex crime in Oregon.
He escaped after leading authorities on an hours-long chase in a motor home with his two young children inside on Wednesday
The chase began in Hollywood and lasted for hours — before it ended 100 miles away — in an almond orchard north of Bakersfield.
His children were found safe inside the RV and were reunited with their mother.
