FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Do you want to be in Marvel’s “Captain Marvel”? Now is your chance!

Central Casting is looking for extras to be in “Open World”, which is the working title for “Captain Marvel”.

The casting call is looking for people who:

Look to be in their 20s to 50s
Military and government types, maintenance workers

Filming is scheduled to take place May 16 through May 18 at Shaver Lake.

Academy Award-winner Brie Larson will play the title character in the production which is scheduled to hit the big screen on March 8, 2019.

Marvel Studios has started principal photography in Los Angeles on “Captain Marvel”. The production is currently shooting in and around the greater Los Angeles area, which is also the production base for the movie.

The movie will also film in Baton Rouge and New Orleans in Louisiana.

Based on the Marvel comic character who first appeared in 1968, the story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
