VIDEO: Fresno Co. Jail Lobby Shooter Transported to Prison

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Convicted Fresno County Jail lobby shooter Thong Vang was transported to Wasco State Prison Wednesday morning.

Vang was sentenced last week to 112 years-to-life behind bars for shooting correctional offers Toamalama Scanlan and Juanita Davila, in September of 2016.

Sheriff Margaret Mims says, “He’s proven he cannot act in a civilized manner when he’s not in prison, and he belongs behind bars. I’m glad that’s where he’s going to be for the rest of his life.”

The Sheriff’s Office says Vang spent 607 days in custody at the Fresno County Jail with zero incidents.
