FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Governor Jerry Brown announced Tuesday that the State of California and 17 others, are suing the Trump Administration, in an effort to block the EPA from watering down ambitious fuel efficiency requirements.
The feds say clean car standards for model years 2022 through 2025 should be abandoned.
They’ve argued that tougher mileage mandates result in smaller, lighter, and ultimately less durable vehicles, which can lead to more collision-related deaths.
