April 30th is National Raisin Day

For more than a hundred years, the United States has celebrated National Raisin Day.

California is home to 100-percent of raisin production in our nation.

The city Selma is also in the spotlight, as the Fresno County community lays claim as the Raisin Capital of the world.

90% of the nation’s raisin crop is produced within 8 miles of Selma.

More than a 100,000 tons of raisins were delivered to raisin handlers by the end of last year.

The sun dried grape crop is exported around the world.
