FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The Madera County Sheriff’s Office makes an arrest in an ongoing mail theft case.
Around November of 2017, deputies received several calls about mail thefts in the Coarsegold area.
Detectives started to investigate and were able to identify a house that was possibly related to the mail thefts.

On April 10, detectives were able to serve a warrant at a house in the 43000 block of Running Deer Drive and found a large amount of stolen mail linking back to 27-year-old Britteny Ford.
Deputies say the mail thefts happened between November of 2017 and January of 2018, mostly in the Yosemite Lakes Park area.
Ford was arrested and booked in the Madera County Jail for identity theft.
Ford is expected to face additional theft charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
