FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Detectives are searching for whoever stole a vehicle and guns from a Clovis Home.
The house is located in the gated community Monte Verdi Estates by Friant Road and Willow Ave.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says the burglary took place sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18th.
Around midnight, the owner came home to find their Mercedes SUV was gone and other items misplaced in the garage.
Deputies later discovered that along with the SUV, a large John Deere safe containing several guns (mostly rifles) was taken.
Detectives are working to collect surveillance video from around the area and are interviewing neighbors in hopes of identifying the suspect(s).
The SUV was discovered abandoned by Blackstone and Dakota in Fresno, and detectives say it’s possible that the safe was emptied and dumped along a street.
Detectives would like the public to keep an eye out and report it immediately if they find the safe.
