Fresno Police Arrest Suspect In City’s Latest Homicide

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Police have a suspect in the city’s latest homicide in Southwest Fresno.

It was just after 8:00 Sunday night that police got the 911 call that a man was covered in blood and lying in the parking lot at the Country Mart on North and Elm.

The victim, 54 year-old Bernard Jackson, had been involved in a disturbance with the suspect and was fatally stabbed.

Police say it was a witness who told homicide detectives that the suspect was by Martin Luther King Blvd. and Annadale.

Officers located Michael Davis in an apartment parking lot.

The 58 year-old Fresno man was questioned, and detectives recovered evidence at his home.

Davis was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for one count of murder.
