Possible Chinese Tariffs on California Farm Exports

Within hours of President Trump announcing Tariffs against China, the Chinese government released a possible tariff list on American products.

Part of that list includes farm goods, which according to the New York Times, include fresh fruit, nuts and wine.

Those and other farm goods face a 15 percent tariff.

Fresno County Farm Bureau CEO/Executive Director Ryan Jacobsen says it’s too early to know what the full impact tariffs on farm goods could mean to California growers.

But he points out China is California’s third biggest farm export market worth about 2 billion dollars a year.
