FRESNO, CA (KMJ)- Gang members are busted with contraband across from Fresno State.
Detectives from Fresno PD’s Magec Gang Unit saw the vehicle at the University Inn on Shaw.
“They contacted four people inside of a car parked in a handicapped stall.They found out it was four gang members in possession of a handgun and drugs,” says Lt. Mark Hudson.
Detectives seized meth, 10 grams of prescription drugs and a 25 caliber semi-automatic handgun.
Lt. Hudson says they’ve beefed-up patrols in the area between Woodrow and Chestnut by the University Inn, the same place where an officer-involved shooting occurred on February 27th. That’s when police responded to a gun battle in progress they believed to be gang-related.
Two suspects in that incident are still at large.
