FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A Man from Huron is arrested on multiple charges of child sex abuse.
On January 6th, the Sheriff’s Office received reports that 29 year old Armando Pena had committed sex crimes against a number of children from family he knew well.
Sheriff’s Spokesperson Tony Botti says on January 9th, deputies found Pena near Lassen and 10th Street in Huron and arrested him.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Sex Crimes Unit booked Pena into the Fresno County Jail on a million dollars bail.
He faces felony charges which include sex acts with a child under 10.
Pena had been released from prison in August on prior convictions for robbery and auto theft.
Botti says they need the public’s help to identify other possible victims.
