Monsanto is getting backing from 11 states in its efforts to stop California from requiring cancer warnings on products containing Glyphosate.
According to the Saint Louis Post, court documents filed claim that warnings would be misleading because there is no definite link between Glyphosate and cancer.
Midwest businesses would also have to show those warnings on Glyphosate products or even stop selling them, if California requires such action.
California is listing Glyphosate, the main ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide as cancer causing.
Products containing the chemical will have to show a warning label by this July.
