FRESNO, CA (KMJ) -A Fresno Police officer has turned in his own brother in connection with a body found in the Northeast on New Year’s Eve.
Cody Sanders is now facing one charge of felony hit and run following the crash at Herndon and Millbrook.
The body of 33 year old Kong Yang was found in the bushes on Monday night.
Investigators say the officer was aware that his brother was involved in an incident but he didn’t know he’d hit someone.
The 22 year-old suspect was booked into Fresno County Jail.
Sanders is now out on bail.
