Fresno Cell Phone Store Manager Removes Panel – Finds Man In Ceiling

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A man is caught in South East Fresno after allegedly trying to break into a cell phone store through the roof.

It was just after 1:00pm on Tuesday that Fresno Police say they got the call from the manager of the Cricket Store on the 3200 block of East Tulare Street.

“We got a call that the manager heard some noise in attic. He grabbed a ladder, began climbing up the ladder and took off one of the ceiling panels, when he saw that there was a Hispanic male adult in his 20’s – this suspect then climbed down the ladder and ran outside the store.” – Fresno Police Lieutenant Mark Hudson.

Lieutenant Mark Hudson says officers caught the suspect.

He’s now facing charges of attempted burglary.
