CLOVIS, Calif. (KMJ) — A Central Unified P.E. teacher has been jailed on child abuse allegations.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says 64-year-old Peter Samhammer allegedly used a jump rope to discipline some students at Herndon Barstow Elementary, by briefly tightening it around their necks.
Marks were left on the kids’ necks and shoulders.
The students are between the ages of 9 and 11.
Samhammer has been placed on administrative leave.
