FRESNO (KMJ) — A second rock fall has occurred at Yosemite National Park, a day an earlier rock fall claimed one life and injured another.(click here to read more).
At least one person has been injured in the second event Thursday afternoon. That person was flown out of the park via air ambulance to a local hospital.
Park officials state that rock falls are a common occurrence in Yosemite Valley, with around 80 reported every year.
Despite the pair of incidents in as many days, Yosemite National Park remains open and visitor services are not affected.
