FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A man struck by a train in Laton has been identified.
The Fresno County Sheriff – Coroner’s Office says 24 year old Frank Rocha Vaz of Riverdale was hit around 11:45, Wednesday night.
An engineer from Burlington Northern Santa Fe saw a person laying across the tracks as they approached Fowler and Letson Avenues, but were unable to stop the train.
The man was found to be deceased.
Detectives are asking anyone who knew Rocha Vaz or his whereabouts prior to his death, to call Fresno County Sheriff’s Detective Juan Galindo at (559) 600-8215.
