FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Valley first responders are preparing… disaster drills are being conducted at the Save Mart Center.
Fresno Fire Deputy Fire Chief Todd Tuggle says it’s the chance to do a large scale run-through for a real life scenario.
“On multi-casualty events, they are… more often then not they deal with multi agencies, fire and EMS, and it’s not too uncommon to have law enforcement be an integral part as well.” – Todd Tuggle, Deputy Fire Chief.
For the next three weeks, as you drive by the Save Mart, you will see members of Fresno, Clovis and Cal Fire, American Ambulance, Fire, Fresno County Fire/CAL Fire and Fresno County EMS and law enforcement.
So don’t worry …it’s just a drill.
“Yeah, if you see a bunch of emergency vehicles in the middle of the day at the Save Mart Center, it’s probably a drill.” – Deputy Fire Chief Todd Tuggle.
