FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A Visalia man is sentenced to 232 years in prison for child molestation.
The crimes took place between 2013 and 2015 in Tulare County, the victim was a girl under the age of 14.
On May 9th, a Tulare County jury convicted Larry Sul of two felony counts of forcible lewd act upon a child under the age of 14, and four felony counts of lewd act upon a child under the age of 14.
Sul admitted he had two prior strikes – he was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and robbery, and served four prior prison terms.
Tulare County Assistant District Attorney David Alavezos says the 64 year old man was a repeat offender.
“The reason why he was released and allowed to do this crime is because of Proposition 36. He got out, these crimes started immediately when he got out.” -Assistant District Attorney David Alavezos.
Judge Joseph Kalashian in Tulare County Superior Court sentenced 64 year-old Larry Sul of Visalia, to 232 years to life in prison for child molestation.
