Clovis, CA (KMJ) Four people were killed in an early morning crash Sunday east of Clovis.
Officers say an SUV headed southbound on Academy near Shields drifted into the wrong lane around 2am and slammed head-on into a pickup truck.
The 28 year old woman driving the SUV was killed along with her 23 year old female passenger and two children – an infant and a 5 year old.
The CHP says neither the driver nor the other adult passenger were wearing seatbelts. They also say the children were not properly restrained.
Investigators say the deceased women were from Auberry.
Testing for drugs and/or alcohol is underway.
The driver of the pickup truck, 25 year old Francisco Cordero of Sanger, suffered major injuries.
