FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A 6-month-old girl, allegedly abused by her mother’s boyfriend, has died.
Fresno Police say 20-year-old Osvaldo Tejada, who is not the infant’s biological father, was arrested on six counts of child abuse.
More charges are now pending, because of the infant’s death.
Fresno Police say the child was brought to CRMC on Wednesday, June 21st after suffering severe trauma.
The infant was in grave condition, and passed away in the morning on Friday, June 23rd.
An autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death. Police say the investigation is still active.
