FRESNO, CA (KMJ) Derek Carr, according to an NFL Network report, is becoming the highest-paid player in the NFL.
The former Fresno State star has inked a new 5-year deal worth $125 million.
Carr tweeted a confirmation of the new deal Thursday: “Now it’s done! From the jump I’ve wanted to be a Raider 4 life. One step closer to that! Blessed!!! Business done! Let’s just play now!!!”
Carr is coming off his best season as a pro, throwing for 3,937 yards and 28 touchdowns with just six interceptions – but suffered a broken leg at the end of season and missed the playoffs.
