Calif. Assembly Releases Holder

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The California Assembly is choosing not to renew a contract with the law firm of former Attorney General Eric Holder, whom Democrats tapped earlier this year to develop a strategy, to resist the Trump Administration.

Speaker Anthony Rendon, who announced the $25,000 per month contract in January, says the state will seek the firm’s guidance as the need arises.

Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de Leon’s office says Holder’s advice has been “very valuable to the Senate in responding to the Rrump’s Administration’s sustained attack on California’s policies and values.”
