South Valley Teen Charged With Murder After Hit And Run

(KMJ) – A South Valley teenager now faces homicide and hit and run charges following a collision with a pedestrian on May 27th in Visalia.

Police say 18-year old Chaylin Funez struck and killed 35-year old Eric Fisher around 6 pm Saturday near Conyer and Prospect in Visalia.  Witnesses told investigators it appeared the vehicle, a silver 4-door Toyota, intentionally struck the man.

On Sunday, Visalia Police located that car on the 1300 block of West Robin.  And, on Monday, officers served a search warrant at that location and took Funez into custody.  She was interviewed and later booked into the Tulare County Jail for Homicide and Hit and Run.
