(KMJ) – The 103rd Clovis Rodeo kicks off with something for everyone and continues a century old tradition that brings in millions in revenue to the Clovis community.
Past Rodeo President Chuck Rigsby says the PBR Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour brings bulls and riders to the arena; “So it’s all bulls, all night!”
Many of the nation’s top riders are town for their eight seconds of fame on some of the best bull riding stock.
Country music stars Joe Nichols, and Eli Young Band are the rodeo headliners performing in concert in the arena.
John Growney, (photo above) the stock contractor says the care and welfare of the animals is a top priority.
“It’s really something to be around these animals, and every one of them has a difference personality and they are let you know how they feel.
Growney says the sport of bull riding is something that’s in your blood, he has been riding bulls since high school.
