March MatchUP Campaign Raises $184,475 For Fresno State Student Cupboard

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Fresno State revealed Friday that the March MatchUP Campaign brought in more than $184,000 dollars for its Student Cupboard.

Food Security Project Coordinator Jessica Medina says three community partners matched the more than 220 donations, money that she says will go far to alleviate food insecurity.

Fresno State’s First Lady Mary Castro had the privilege of announcing the grand total: $184,475.

She says the whole thing began when they realized that some students were skipping meals – and they had to find a way to alleviate that issue.
