FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Researchers at the University of North Carolina say it appears it’s not only what’s inside breast cancer cells that’s important, but also the surrounding environment.
A new study finds that elements of the fatty tissue surrounding such cells may encourage them to grow, which could explain why obesity can play a role.
Lab tests suggest the environment for breast cancer can be altered by weight loss.
