More than 200 people attended as Valley Children’s Healthcare and Adventist Health held a groundbreaking on Friday, March 24th on a 46,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art wellness center.

The center will be located at 10th and Fresno Streets, off Highway 99 and Merced Avenue in Fowler.

In 2016, Valley Children’s cared for nearly 18,700 children from Kings County and southern Fresno County at the main campus in Madera.

Their pediatric specialists saw those children more than 29,000 times for outpatient visits. The specialty care center in Fowler will allow many of these kids to see their specialists even closer to home.

The center will open in late 2018. There are also plans for a 4.5-acre community park that’s open to all families in surrounding communities.
