Blue Buffalo Dog Food Recalled

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – There’s a voluntary recall on Blue Buffalo Dog Food because it could have an elevated level of beef thyroid hormones.

The Blue Buffalo Company has issued a voluntary recall for its Blue Wilderness Rocky Mountain Recipe Red Meat Dinner wet food for adult dogs.

The FDA says the recall’s limited to one lot of dog food which could have an elevated level of beef thyroid hormones.

It could cause increased thirst, weight loss, an increased heart rate and restlessness which the FDA says should disappear if the dog stops eating the affected food.

The recall is limited to the 12.5 oz can with a UPC code 840243101153 and a Best Buy date of June 7, 2019.

No other products have been recalled.

The food was sold through pet store and online retailers.

You can return it to the place where you bought it for a full refund, or throw the food out.
