FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The California Women’s Caucus has sent a letter to U.S. Supreme Court Nominee Neil Gorsuch.
The letter encourages Gorsuch to, “empower and engage the 162 million women who make the United States of America a beacon of hope and prosperity to the world.”
Senate Democrats are being urged by abortion-rights groups to block the appointment of Gorsuch, whom President Trump has picked to replace Justice Antonin Scalia.
Confirmation hearings begin Monday.
