Calif. Seeks Unhappy Federal Scientists

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The California Public Utilities Commission is handing out flyers this week, at the Washington, D.C. offices of the EPA and Dept. of Energy.

The goal is to lure federal scientists, who are at odds with the Trump Administration and the Republican-led Congress, over climate change.

Commission President Michael Picker says his message for those seeking a different approach is simple: “Come West, California is Hiring.”

The CPUC, Calif. Energy Commission, and State Air Resources Board have dozens of openings, for jobs pertaining to climate change, air quality, renewable energy, along with various research and development opportunities.
