Pew: Federal Immigration Crackdown Likely to Hit Calif. Hardest

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The latest proposed crack down on undocumented immigrants is likely to hit California the hardest, according to the nonpartisan Pew Research Center.

Out of the more than 11 million estimated such immigrants, 1 million live down in Southern California alone.

The Trump Administration’s latest proposal, calls for considering virtually any undocumented resident convicted of a crime for deportation.

However, the “Deferred Action” program will remain intact, protecting young “dreamers.”
