FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Fuel prices in the Golden State are rising by around a penny per day, amid what’s being called unplanned refinery maintenance.
Analysts say Chevron’s El Segundo and Richmond Refineries are undergoing maintenance, which is pushing up wholesale prices.
According to the American Automobile Association, the state average for a gallon of gas has risen to $2.89.
Here in Fresno, we’re up to $2.81, which is up 5 cents from last week.
