(KMJ) Visalia Police say a suspected drunk driver is jailed after rolling her car overnight on Murray, east of Giddings.
The crash happened just after midnight Monday. Officers say they discovered that the driver, 35 year old Maria Lopes, had failed to negotiate a bend in the road rolled over several times.
Lopes’ vehicle collided with a street signal and damaged the railroad tracks that parallel Murray. Lopes survived and was booked at the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility.
Rail service in the area was temporarily suspended pending repairs.
