How Important in the Election to Americans?

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — 70 percent of voters believe the 2016 election is of greater importance, than previous campaigns.

That’s according to the latest Gallup poll, which has found similar feelings over the past three elections.

Prior to 2004, voters weren’t as likely to regard the presidential election as vital.

Pollsters say Republicans feel the outcome of this election is more important than Democrats.

Turnout, nationwide, should be similar to that of the 2012 election.
